Helpdesk Technician
Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
Duration- 3 Months (temp to hire)
Mon - Fri (7:30 am - 4:30 pm)
This person will be in a law-firm environment. This role's focus will be on the printer fleet. Basic troubleshooting and technical capabilities with printers are important skills for this position. The secondary focus will be mail training, then cross training for print and hospitality. The manager is looking for customer service first and foremost. The tasks can be trained, but they need someone with good communication skills and professionalism. Experience with mail sorting and delivery, and printing will be helpful. This person must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily support for network and workstation printers.
- Respond to printer-related service requests and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in office services, print services, mailroom operations, or customer support preferred.
- Basic printer, copier, and scanner troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general PC usage.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform basic printer troubleshooting, including paper jams, paper replenishment, toner replacement, and connectivity issues.
- Assist employees with printing, scanning, and copier usage.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate technician when necessary.
- Maintain printer supplies, consumables, and equipment inventory.
- Document service requests, troubleshooting activities, and printer fleet updates.
- Record and report printer meter readings.
- Support mailroom operations, including mail sorting, distribution, and package handling.
- Assist with hospitality and general office services as needed.
- Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional presence within the office.
Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
