The Haematology/Oncology ward at St Vincent's Private Hospital Fitzroy are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our vibrant and dynamic team on a full-time or part-time basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Haematology and Oncology Registered Nurses are responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients receiving treatment for haematological and oncological conditions. The role involves the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care across the continuum of treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, supportive therapies, symptom management, and end-of-life care.

The nurse works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes, patient safety, and exceptional patient experiences while upholding the Mission, Vision and Values of St Vincent’s Health Australia.

ABOUT YOU

Essential Qualifications

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).

  • Minimum of 2 years post-registration acute clinical experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in haematology, oncology, acute medical nursing or related specialty areas.

  • Completion of recognised chemotherapy administration training (or willingness to undertake).

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Cancer Nursing, Haematology Nursing, Oncology Nursing or related specialty.

  • Experience with central venous access devices (CVADs), PICCs and implanted ports.
