The Director, Paid Social is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the strategic vision of the paid social practice, managing P&L, developing organizational capabilities, and fostering C-level client relationships. Directors are accountable for driving revenue growth, leading cross-functional initiatives, and establishing GALE as a thought leader in the paid social space through innovation, industry partnerships, and team excellence.

What you will be doing -

  • Define and execute the overarching paid social strategy across the organization, aligning with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Associate Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Own P&L responsibility for the paid social practice, driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Cultivate and maintain C-suite and executive-level client relationships, serving as a trusted strategic advisor on digital transformation and paid social innovation.
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with platform leaders at Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok, Pinterest, and Snapchat to gain early access to beta features and industry insights.
  • Drive thought leadership through speaking engagements, published articles, industry events, and proprietary research that positions GALE as a market leader.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, technologies, and platforms to maintain competitive advantage and deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients.
  • Lead new business development initiatives, including pitch strategy, proposal development, and client presentations for high-value opportunities.
  • Architect cross-functional collaboration frameworks across paid search, programmatic, SEO, analytics, creative, and planning teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Establish standardized processes, frameworks, and tools that scale best practices across the organization and ensure consistent quality delivery.
  • Drive innovation agenda by implementing AI/ML solutions, automation, and advanced analytics capabilities that differentiate GALE's offerings.
  • Provide strategic oversight on crisis management and reputation protection for high-profile clients and campaigns.
  • Develop succession planning and talent acquisition strategies to build organizational bench strength and address future capability needs.

Who you are -

  • 12+ years in digital marketing with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles within agency or consultancy environments, with demonstrated expertise in paid social.
  • Proven track record managing portfolios exceeding $20M+ in annual media spend across enterprise-level clients and complex, multi-market campaigns.
  • Deep strategic expertise across all major paid social platforms including Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and emerging platforms.
  • Established relationships with platform partners at senior levels (e.g., Meta Client Solutions, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions leadership teams).
  • Strong P&L management experience with demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management capabilities, including experience building and scaling teams of 15+ professionals across multiple levels.
  • Recognized thought leader in the paid social space with a portfolio of published insights, speaking engagements, or industry recognition.
  • Mastery of advanced analytics, attribution modeling, marketing mix modeling, and incrementality testing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to influence and consult with C-level executives and board members on digital strategy and business transformation.
  • Strategic business acumen with experience in new business development, pitch leadership, and winning multi-million dollar accounts.
  • Expertise in change management, organizational design, and driving cross-functional transformation initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing technology ecosystems, including integration of CRM, CDP, data warehousing, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills with experience securing preferential partnerships, volume discounts, and strategic vendor relationships.
  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, with ability to simplify complexity for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with experience building diverse teams and fostering inclusive cultures.
