Accountabilities
- Lead and manage a broad portfolio of complex commercial litigation matters, government investigations, appeals, and other adversarial proceedings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Develop and execute litigation strategies that are creative, risk-aware, and aligned with broader business objectives.
- Advise internal stakeholders and business partners on high-impact legal and strategic issues with a practical, solutions-oriented approach.
- Negotiate and support settlement discussions and dispute resolution strategies at regional, national, and international levels.
- Coordinate and manage multi-jurisdictional litigation efforts in collaboration with global legal counterparts.
- Partner with cross-functional legal and business teams to support strategic initiatives and enterprise-wide legal projects.
- Contribute to the defense of regulatory enforcement actions and other government investigations affecting global operations.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across global pharmaceutical and life sciences functions.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience handling complex commercial litigation, government investigations, and high-stakes disputes.
- Strong background in litigation strategy with demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional cases.
- Hands-on experience with trial work, discovery, and dispute resolution strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry, including exposure to commercial disputes, IP litigation, FCA matters, class actions, or product liability cases.
- Strong ability to develop and execute creative legal strategies in high-pressure environments.
- Experience working with or within in-house legal teams is preferred but not required.
- Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar and eligibility for Registered In-House Counsel status in California.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across legal and business audiences.
- Interest or experience in leveraging emerging AI tools to improve litigation efficiency and legal workflows.
