JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Lactation Support Specialist II - Part Time - No Benefits
*May underfill as a Lactation Support Specialist I - Part Time - No Benefits
The position will be for 16 - 20 hours per week and does not have benefits.
Preference may be given to applicants who are bilingual in Spanish/English.
Starting Pay:
Lactation Support Specialist II - $17.63 - $20.22
Lactation Support Specialist I - $16.42 - $18.87
Schedule:
Monday and Tuesday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM,
Wednesday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM,
Thursday & Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Job Qualifications:
Counsels pregnant and breastfeeding women by answering simple and complex questions on the phone and in person.
Issue of hand breast pumps and electric breast pumps and breastfeeding supplies as instructed by qualified personnel following established protocol.
Weekly follow-up on electric pumps.
Act as resource to clients, lactation support specialists, and staff for any breastfeeding questions, concerns, or problems.
Clean returned electric breast pumps according to state protocol.
Teaching breastfeeding and infant classes.
