Job Summary:

Adapting to this changing environment, Vanderlande runs several programs. These programs touch our core tools: ERP systems, surrounding applications and integrations. Within this role, based within IT, you advise, configure and implement changes in our core tools following business roadmap programs. You work together with business, IT specialists, IT architects and implementation partners.
Your Role:
As an Application Consultant, you are responsible for the preparation, design, setup, implementation, and support of our Maximo solution. This system is used within the service departments of Vanderlande. You are at the forefront of integrating our service concepts into our service IT landscape. The solution is continuously improved through a number of smaller to very large initiatives. Maximo is integrated with other IT systems (ERP/HRM/PLM systems) through more than 20 integrations.
In the position of Application Consultant, you work closely together with the Product Owner Service Applications, Business Architects and Subject Matter Experts to deliver a solution that matches the business needs.
Your Team:
You will be part of a department of the ICT Applications department with 100 colleagues. You will work in the ICT Applications LCS & PE (Lifecycle Services & Project Execution) team, working on the Vanderlande Service applications, such as IBM Maximo, JDEdwards ERP, and the Spare Parts webshop. You will be collaborating closely with colleagues and internal stakeholders while working alongside with architect and experienced team members who support professional growth and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implementation & Configuration
- Lead end-to-end Maximo implementations, upgrades and rollouts across modules.
- Configure and customize Maximo applications: Work Order, Assets, Inventory, Procurement, Contracts, Service Desk, and PM.
- Design and build Maximo Application Framework (MAF) customizations, including Application Designer, Automation Scripts (Python/JS), and Workflow Designer.
- Manage database configurations, domain setup, classification hierarchies, and organization/site structures.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
- Translate requirements into configurations and customizations in Maximo.
- Steer and coordinate implementation partner(s).
- Conduct unit tests of new configurations and customizations.
- Guide acceptance tests and training of key users.
- Handle and resolve tickets with good experience in ticket management.
2. Integration & Technical Architecture
- Design and implement integrations between Maximo and external systems (SAP, Oracle ERP, SCADA, IoT platforms).
- Work with Maximo Application Suite (MAS) and associated components: Health, Visual Inspection, and Manage.
- Architect data flows, interface mapping documents, and error handling frameworks.
- Deploy and administer Maximo on-premise and on IBM Cloud / OpenShift environments.
3. Functional Expertise
- Translate business requirements into Maximo functional specifications, solution designs, and configuration documents.
- Support asset lifecycle management, preventive/predictive maintenance strategies, and inventory optimization processes.
- Conduct gap analysis, fit/gap workshops, and solution blueprinting with key business stakeholders.
4. Support, Troubleshooting & Optimization
- Provide L2/L3 support for production Maximo environments; diagnose complex technical and functional issues.
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and system health checks.
- Manage patches, fix packs, and version upgrades with minimal downtime.
5. Leadership & Collaboration
- Guide and mentor junior/mid-level analysts and developers within the team.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and client teams to deliver within scope, budget, and timeline.
Technical Expertise:
- 5+ years of hands-on IBM Maximo EAM experience.
- Strong expertise in Maximo modules: Assets, Work Management, Inventory, Purchasing, Contracts, Service Desk, and Scheduler.
- Proficiency in Automation Scripting, Workflow Designer, and Escalations.
- Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), Object Structures, Publish Channels, and Enterprise Services.
- Working knowledge of Maximo Application Suite (MAS) on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Database skills: Oracle / DB2 / SQL Server – writing complex queries, performance tuning.
- Understanding of Java-based Maximo architecture, class hierarchy, and business object customization.
Functional & Soft Skills:
- Strong understanding of asset management, plant maintenance, and operations & maintenance workflows.
- Ability to lead requirement workshops and write functional specification documents independently.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines for Maximo deployments.
- Prior experience in a client-facing or consulting role and familiarity with SAFe Agile/Scrum delivery methodology.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5-7 years' work experience in IT.
- You enjoy troubleshooting technical issues and have experience in analyzing complex issues.
- Experience in Maximo is a pre.
- Experience in Red Hat OpenShift is a pre.
- IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Asset Management (preferred).
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
- You are fluent in English (both spoken and written)
