Job description

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a senior VP-level hands-on leader who can bridge System Analysis and Quality Engineering for the Alpha and Middle Office Technology platforms.

This role requires a strong domain-led technologist with 12–15+ years of experience across Front and Middle Office, who can translate complex business needs into clear requirements and ensure high-quality delivery through modern QA practices and automation.

The ideal candidate:

  • Operates comfortably across business, product, and engineering
  • Drives end-to-end ownership from requirements through validation
  • Brings strong QA transformation mindset (automation, cloud, event-driven systems)
  • Is hands-on, execution-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced, high-impact programs
  • Understands End to End System integration and data flows
  • Owns System integration documents (User guides, manuals, Process and Data Flows, etc.)

What you will be responsible for

System Analysis & Product Alignment

  • Partner with business, product, and operations teams to define and refine requirements for complex Middle Office platforms
  • Own requirement lifecycle – from discovery, documentation, prioritization to traceability
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Create Use case documents and support Test Data Preparation
  • Drive functional design discussions and ensure alignment across stakeholders
  • Act as a bridge between business and engineering, ensuring clarity and reducing delivery risk

Quality Engineering & Delivery Ownership

  • Lead end-to-end testing strategy, planning, and execution across multiple agile teams
  • Own and drive test automation strategy – frameworks, tools, and coverage across functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Ensure strong defect management discipline and production-quality outcomes
  • Drive adoption of modern QA practices in cloud-native and event-driven environments
  • Thrive for 100% Test Automation (QA, Regression, End to End)
  • Monitor and communicate quality metrics, risks, and readiness to leadership
  • Own End to End testing for System integration

Execution & Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to SA and QA teams (onshore/offshore)
  • Drive SDLC standardization and best practices across teams
  • Ensure successful execution of large, cross-functional programs with tight timelines
  • Work directly with senior business and technology leadership, with minimal oversight
  • Mentor teams and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement

What we value

  • Strong analytical thinking with ability to break down complex business problems
  • Ability to operate as a trusted partner to business stakeholders
  • Hands-on mindset with a bias for execution over coordination
  • Leadership presence with ability to influence across global teams
  • High ownership, accountability, and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Clear and effective communication across business and technical audiences

Basic Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of experience in financial services technology (Front/Middle Office)
  • Strong experience in both System Analysis and QA/Testing leadership roles
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and validation strategies
  • Extensive experience in Agile story writing, including creation of well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, refinement, backlog grooming, and ensuring traceability across requirements, development, and testing cycles
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements from stakeholders
  • Deep experience in functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks
  • Experience working in agile delivery models with distributed teams
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements from stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong domain expertise in Middle Office, Cash, IBOR (Investment Book of Record), Trade Processing
  • Expertise in Swift MT/MX Messages and ISO 20022
  • Experience working in cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure)
  • Exposure to event-driven systems, messaging platforms (Kafka), and microservices
  • Experience with tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit/TestNG, Jenkins, Git, Maven
  • Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and downstream impacts
  • Experience driving QA transformation and automation at scale
  • Ability to troubleshoot data and application issues end-to-end

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or related field

Work Requirement

  • 3 days onsite
  • Flexible alignment with global teams (onshore/offshore collaboration required)
