Job description
Within Real Estate Finance (REF), we finance the real estate of the future: from sustainable homes to innovative commercial properties. Customers expect fast, digital and personal service.
In this role, you build and improve the processes that make this possible – with direct impact on customers, the business and technology.
We are looking for a new colleague with a strong affinity for IT delivery and process improvement. As a Customer Journey Expert, you will work within the team responsible for our core IT system SAP S/4HANA. You identify bottlenecks, prioritize based on impact and ensure that SAP contributes as much as possible to customer value and business results.
The team
You will become part of the Real Estate Finance Tribe, where disciplines come together from sales and operations to digital product delivery. You work closely with your users and stakeholders. Within the Product Area Delivery, teams work on areas including product and customer data, credit decisioning models and all employee and customer processes.
You will join a driven team of SAP specialists that is jointly responsible for one of the core applications within Real Estate Finance. The team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day functioning of the organization: from supporting users to continuously improving the SAP environment.
What defines us? A strong focus on results, ownership and collaboration. We work closely with the business and IT to make our SAP environment reliable, future-proof and continuously better. There is plenty of room to make an impact yourself and actively contribute to the further development and optimization of the SAP landscape.
We work from our office in Amsterdam Bijlmer and meet there at least two days a week for collaboration, knowledge sharing and connection. Of course, you can also work partly from home. You will have plenty of space to shape your own direction, make choices and create visible impact. Want to know more about what it is like to work at ING? Read it here.
Your role and responsibilities
- You clearly map user needs, both qualitatively and quantitatively, and identify the most important improvement opportunities
- You formulate clear user, business and IT requirements in collaboration with developers and the business
- You create measurable impact by basing decisions on data
- You translate improvement opportunities into concrete solutions and guide their realization from idea to go-live
- You actively engage stakeholders and safeguard the balance between customer, business, regulation and technology
What makes this role unique is the combination of end-to-end ownership, direct impact on a core system and the opportunity to further shape and modernize SAP within REF.
What success looks like
We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our main expectation is that you stay curious, take responsibility and keep learning. In return, we help you develop into an even better version of yourself.
Success in this role means that you:
- Shorten lead times and make processes more efficient
- Demonstrably improve quality and ease of use
- Bring stakeholders along in clear choices and priorities
- Realize changes from idea to go-live
In this way, you ensure that REF can serve customers faster, more consistently and with greater confidence. You are a product-driven professional who likes to take ownership and make an impact. You:
- Have 1–3+ years of experience as an SAP consultant (preferred)
- Have knowledge of SAP CML and CMS (preferred)
- Are analytical, pragmatic and results-oriented
- Take ownership and realize improvements
- Dare to make choices and provide direction in a complex environment
