Job Description

  

Role Overview

The Country Operations Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the LeCroy China legal entity and associated Taiwan operations. This role ensures efficient, compliant, and scalable execution of all finance and operational functions supporting the business.

Serving as the senior in-country leader for finance and operations, this position partners closely with global leadership and functional teams while maintaining accountability for financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across both China and Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership & Compliance (China & Taiwan)

  • Lead all financial and tax reporting activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Maintain full ownership of general ledger accuracy and financial statement integrity
  • Oversee intercompany activity, inventory accounting, credit & collections, and payroll
  • Serve as the primary interface with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure compliance with Teledyne policies, applicable accounting standards, and local statutory requirements
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting procedures
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support business performance and decision-making across both China and Taiwan

2. Business Partnering & Planning

  • Act as a strategic advisor to regional sales teams and global leadership
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Provide actionable analysis to support pricing, margin optimization, and cost control
  • Identify financial and operational risks and drive mitigation strategies

3. Legal Entity Operations Leadership (China & Taiwan)

  • Lead day-to-day operations across the China legal entity and Taiwan support activities
  • Oversee all non-sales operational functions, including:
    • Order management and customer service operations
    • Administrative and back-office activities
    • Purchasing and vendor coordination
    • Inventory and operational planning alignment
  • Ensure consistent execution of global processes and systems (including SAP and related platforms)
  • Drive operational efficiency, process standardization, and scalability across both regions

4. Trade Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure full compliance with export controls, import regulations, and local trade laws
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, and logistics operations across China and Taiwan
  • Act as local owner for compliance activities, including audits and internal reviews
  • Partner with corporate compliance, legal, and supply chain teams to proactively manage risk

5. Commercial Operations Support

  • Enable sales success through strong operational execution:
    • Quote and order processing
    • Delivery coordination and customer communication
  • Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
  • Support overall customer experience through efficient and reliable back-office operations

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a cross-functional team spanning finance and operations across China and Taiwan
  • Establish clear accountability, performance expectations, and operational discipline
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and customer responsiveness
  • Serve as the senior in-country operational leader and key escalation point for local issues

Team Structure

This role directly manages a team spanning China and Taiwan, including:

  • China Accounting Manager
  • Taiwan Accounting Manager
  • China Customer Service Supervisor (with 4 direct reports)
  • Taiwan Customer Service Representative

Total span of control:

  • 4 direct reports
  • ~8 total team members (including indirect reports)

The team covers finance, accounting, customer service, and operational support functions across both regions.

Scope

  • Geographic: China and Taiwan
  • Functional: Finance, accounting, trade compliance, logistics, order management, purchasing, and administrative operations
  • Exclusions:
    • No direct management of sales engineers
    • HR supported via Teledyne shared services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with increasing operational responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional operations beyond finance
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with trade compliance, logistics, or supply chain operations strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to operate as a senior business partner to executive leadership
  • Experience in a multinational environment; China/Taiwan experience strongly preferred
  • Strong ERP and systems capability (SAP or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
