The Senior Director, Product Group Leader for Global Services Finance is the strategic technology leader for GS Finance and Payroll, accountable for defining and delivering AI, automation, and digital product strategy that enables critical finance operations. This role translates business priorities into a cohesive product and platform roadmap across Invoice-to-Cash, Payroll, Record to Report, Treasury, Tax, Controls, Planning, and Performance Management. The leader partners closely with Finance and Global Service executives, CBT Finance Product Groups, Data Science, Engineering, and Technology Services to deliver scalable, secure, and AI-enabled capabilities that improve decision quality, cycle times, compliance, working capital outcomes, and employee experience.
This leader operates within the Finance BT product model and serves as the primary technology partner to Global Services Finance, ensuring a single, aligned product narrative across finance operations while accelerating execution of high-value capabilities. The role requires deep understanding of enterprise finance processes, strong technology and architecture judgment, and the ability to embed AI and automation into workflows in ways that are practical, governed, and measurable.
Operating Model Principles (Core to Role Design)
Operations-led outcomes, product-led enablement
GS Finance owns day-to-day I2C and payroll execution and outcomes. This role ensures BT translates those needs into scalable technology, data, and AI capabilities that deliver measurable business value.Single I2C product narrative
Product strategy, E2E technology (tools, data, AI), design, prioritization, and roadmap ownership remain anchored in the Finance BT Product Organization.Embedded execution model
The leader is deeply embedded within GS Finance operations to stay close to workflows, signals, and pain points, ensuring solutions are grounded in real operational needs while avoiding fragmented decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Product and Technology Strategy
· Define the vision, goals, and operating model for the Finance Data & AI Product Group, ensuring alignment with Finance strategy, enterprise architecture standards, and business value priorities.
· Shape demand and roadmap priorities with Finance technology and business leaders, linking investments to transformation objectives, service performance, compliance requirements, and measurable financial outcomes.
· Lead portfolio planning, funding proposals, and lifecycle management across AI, analytics, automation, reporting, integration, and data platform capabilities.
· Ensure product teams deliver against defined outcomes, service levels, and adoption targets while managing total cost of ownership and technology risk through disciplined governance.
· Act as the digital execution leader for GS Finance, converting operational insights into reusable, enterprise-grade capabilities without creating parallel product structures.
AI Integration and Innovation
· Embed AI capabilities across finance products and workflows, including forecasting, anomaly detection, reconciliations, policy adherence, exception handling, and assistant experiences that improve speed and decision quality.
· Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to define AI use cases, data requirements, evaluation criteria, and release priorities based on business value, control considerations, and operational readiness.
· Establish responsible AI practices covering model governance, human oversight, traceability, performance monitoring, and compliance in partnership with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit.
· Drive standards for prompt design, workflow orchestration, and AI adoption to improve analyst, operator, and controller productivity.
· Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools, platforms, and agentic capabilities and determine where they can be applied safely and effectively within finance processes.
Technology Enablement
· Oversee the data, integration, and platform architecture required to support finance products, including finance data hubs, SAP-centered ecosystems, workflow platforms, reporting environments, and master data foundations.
· Ensure platforms, pipelines, and data products are AI-ready, reliable, scalable, secure, and compliant with financial control, privacy, retention, and audit requirements.
· Guide conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support planning, close, reporting, payroll, cash application, collections, controls, and decision support.
· Modernize and automate data flows and manual finance processes to improve speed, accuracy, resilience, and transparency.
· Collaborate with Technology Services and enterprise platform teams to deliver secure, performant infrastructure and dependable service operations.
· Establish strong data governance and quality practices with business and technical partners, including ownership, lineage, controls, and issue remediation.
Cross-functional Leadership and Collaboration
· Partner with PGLs, Technology Services, Finance leadership, and Product Groups across Functions to deliver cohesive strategies and releases.
· Establish operating rhythms, KPIs, OKRs, and transparent reporting for roadmap progress, adoption, and value realization.
· Oversee change management, communications, and enablement for AI and product releases.
Organizational Leadership and Talent Development
· Build and lead a global matrixed team of product managers, AI practitioners, data engineers, data architects, and platform owners.
· Develop talent pipelines for AI, data, and finance technology roles including career paths, coaching, and succession planning.
· Foster a culture of learning, innovation, technical excellence, and operational rigor aligned to responsible AI practices.
· Shape organizational constructs that align with modern product and AI operating models.
Required Qualifications
· 10 or more years of progressive leadership experience spanning finance technology, digital product management, data platforms, or enterprise transformation, including responsibility for strategy, delivery, and stakeholder alignment.
· Demonstrated success leading complex technology or product portfolios that support core finance processes such as Invoice-to-Cash, payroll, planning, forecasting, close, reporting, treasury, tax, or controls.
· Strong financial process acumen, including understanding of upstream and downstream process dependencies, internal controls, working capital drivers, service performance metrics, and regulatory requirements such as SOX.
· Experience defining business cases, funding proposals, investment trade-offs, and value realization measures for technology and transformation initiatives.
· Proven ability to influence senior leaders, align cross-functional stakeholders, and lead matrixed teams across product, engineering, operations, data, risk, and finance.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technology and AI concepts into clear business decisions and action plans.
AI Knowledge and Experience
· Demonstrated experience applying AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, or advanced analytics to improve enterprise workflows, product capabilities, user experience, or business outcomes.
· Strong understanding of modern AI concepts and delivery patterns, including generative AI, agentic AI, model evaluation, prompt design, retrieval approaches, and workflow orchestration.
· Experience translating AI capabilities into practical finance use cases, product requirements, release plans, and adoption strategies.
· Ability to work effectively with data science, engineering, security, and risk teams to evaluate feasibility, define controls, and operationalize AI-enabled functionality.
· Working knowledge of responsible AI practices, including governance, bias and risk awareness, human-in-the-loop design, auditability, and compliance with enterprise standards.
· Demonstrated curiosity and learning agility in evaluating new AI tools and platforms and identifying where they can be deployed responsibly for meaningful business value.
Preferred Qualifications
· Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, business process redesign, finance data models, and technology investment planning.
· Experience in Global Services, Shared Services, or large-scale enterprise finance environments with complex operational processes.
· Familiarity with SAP finance and payroll ecosystems, finance data platforms, and integrated reporting or workflow technologies.
· Track record of delivering measurable business value through modern technology, data, and AI solutions in a regulated enterprise environment.
Travel Requirements
Up to 20 percent domestic and international travel.
– The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
