About the Role

As an Early Years Teacher Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced practitioners while studying towards your Level 5 qualification. You’ll play an active role in creating a warm, engaging, and enriching environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

With guidance and training, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the learning and development of children aged 0–5 through play-based and structured activities

Assisting in planning and delivering engaging experiences in line with the EYFS framework

Building positive relationships with children, supporting their emotional and social development

Ensuring a safe, secure, and inclusive environment by following safeguarding procedures

Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress with support from senior staff

Working in partnership with parents and carers to support each child’s development

Actively participating in your apprenticeship training, coursework, and professional development

You’ll need

A Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development

A willingness to learn and complete a Level 6 Early Years Teacher Apprenticeship

Basic knowledge of the EYFS (desirable but not essential)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A positive, can-do attitude and commitment to personal development

A current Enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo a check

What You’ll Gain

A fully funded Level 5 Early Years Teacher qualification

Hands-on experience in a supportive and nurturing nursery environment

Mentoring from experienced Early Years professionals

Opportunities for career progression upon completion
