Job description
Senior Product Manager Invoicing & Fiscal Operations
About the Company
They are building an AI-native operating system for schools across Latin America.
The platform helps schools manage collections, payments, invoicing, reconciliation, and other critical financial workflows.
This role will own the full billing, invoicing, and fiscal operations experience, from invoice creation and issuance through reconciliation and fiscal compliance.
Role Mission
Your mission will be to transform the invoicing product into a reliable, measurable, and self-service platform for schools.
You will lead the strategy and execution of invoicing workflows across Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, and future markets in Latin America. You will work on invoice generation, fiscal rules, invoice failures, modifications, cancellations, credit notes, receipts, tax data, reconciliation, and integrations with invoicing providers.
The goal is to reduce manual operations, increase visibility, prevent fiscal errors, and enable schools and internal teams to manage invoicing with greater autonomy and accuracy.
What You Will Own
•
Own the invoicing product as a core product area.
•
Define the product strategy, roadmap, priorities, and execution plan for invoicing and fiscal operations.
•
Map unsupported invoicing use cases across countries, schools, fiscal scenarios, and operational flows.
•
Translate complex fiscal and operational problems into clear product requirements, user flows, PRDs, and execution plans.
•
Design self-service flows that allow schools to understand, correct, and manage invoicing issues directly within the platform.
•
Define how schools should be notified when an invoice fails, why it failed, what needs to be corrected, and how it can be regenerated.
•
Reduce dependency on Operations and Support for recurring invoicing issues.
•
Work with Support and Customer Success to map invoicing-related tickets, root causes, and repeatable patterns.
•
Improve visibility into invoices that failed, were not created, were created with errors, or require modification.
•
Build traceability into invoicing actions: who changed what, when, why, and with what impact.
•
Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Operations, Finance, Legal/Fiscal, Customer Success, and Sales.
Key Success Metrics
You will be expected to define, improve, and monitor metrics such as:
•
Scheduled Invoice Generation Success Rate
•
Invoice Amount Accuracy Rate
•
Fiscal Data Completeness Rate
•
Time to Resolve Invoice Failures
•
Manual Operational Intervention Volume
•
Self-Service Resolution Rate
What Success Looks Like
In the first 90 days, you will be expected to
•
Understand the current invoicing product, workflows, systems, and operational dependencies.
•
Map the current state of invoice generation, invoice failures, modifications, cancellations, and reconciliation.
•
Analyze invoicing-related support tickets and identify the most frequent causes of failure.
•
Produce a clear diagnosis of unsupported use cases and operational bottlenecks.
•
Define the first version of the invoicing product roadmap.
•
Document critical business rules and fiscal requirements by country.
•
Align Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal/Fiscal, Customer Success, Data, and Design around the target operating model.
•
Deliver or actively drive improvements that increase visibility and reduce manual operational dependency.
Within the first six months, all major unsupported invoicing use cases should be mapped, with a clear execution plan to address the most critical gaps. Schools should have a clearer path to self-manage invoice issues, corrections, and modifications, while internal teams should have better visibility into invoice health and operational workload.
What We Are Looking For
They are looking for a Senior Product Manager with strong experience in B2B products, operational automation, and complex financial or fiscal workflows.
You should be comfortable operating at both strategic and highly detailed levels. This role requires someone who can define a roadmap, but also understand why a specific invoice failed, what data was missing, what rule was applied incorrectly, and how the product should prevent that issue from recurring.
Required Experience
•
Strong Product Management experience in B2B products.
•
Experience automating or systematizing complex operational processes.
•
Experience working with financial, billing, invoicing, payments, ERP, fintech, accounting, or fiscal products.
•
Strong delivery skills and ability to execute with Engineering and cross-functional teams.
•
Experience defining business rules, product requirements, workflows, and operational metrics.
•
Ability to work with APIs, integrations, webhooks, external providers, data models, transactional states, auditability, and traceability.
•
Strong analytical thinking and ability to define indicators that show whether a process is working or failing.
•
Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
Highly Valuable Experience
•
Experience with electronic invoicing.
•
Experience with invoicing providers, tax authorities, or fiscal integrations.
•
Experience in fintech, payments, lending, factoring, ERP, accounting software, or financial infrastructure.
•
Experience with reconciliation between invoices, payments, accounts receivable, and financial records.
•
Experience building self-service tools for B2B users.
•
Experience working in Latin American markets.
Core Competencies
•
Strong process thinking.
•
High attention to detail and precision.
•
Strong delivery and execution.
•
Clear business rule documentation.
•
Cross-functional leadership.
•
Operational judgment.
•
Ability to communicate complex problems clearly to technical, operational, fiscal, and executive audiences.
Reporting Line
This role reports to the Head of Product and works closely with a dedicated Engineering squad, shared Design resources, and teams across Operations, Data, Finance, Legal/Fiscal, Customer Success, and Sales.
Why This Role Matters
When invoicing works well, schools have better control, parents receive accurate fiscal documents, internal teams operate with less manual effort, and the business can scale more reliably.
This role exists to transform invoicing into a reliable, scalable, measurable, and self-service product capability for schools across Latin America.
A high-impact opportunity to own one of the most critical operational products in the business.
