Thaia
Product Manager
Salary
Job description
About the Company
They build the accounting engine for modern finance teams. Their platform learns each company's accounting logic — chart of accounts, business rules, dimensions — and uses AI to automate what's still done manually: processing invoices, reconciling bank accounts, and managing close. It connects to the existing ERP, no migration required. SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant. Clients in Spain, UK, and France.
About the Role
They're looking for their first Product Manager. This isn't a ticket-execution role — it's the person who bridges founder vision and the engineering team, takes initiatives from 0 to 1, and owns the product agenda day to day.
The core challenge is building from scratch: there's no product structure in place, there's a vision, and everything needed to execute it still needs to be built. If you've been through a fast-growing startup and know what it means to operate with high ambiguity and shifting priorities week to week, this is your search.
•
Experience: 5–10 years
•
Type: Full-time / Contractor
•
Location: Buenos Aires, hybrid 1–2 times per week
Responsibilities
•
Own the short and mid-term product roadmap and maintain strategic coherence even when priorities shift week to week.
•
Serve as the link between founder vision and the engineering team's daily execution.
•
Translate client conversations into concrete requirements — user stories, acceptance criteria, documentation ready for engineering to execute.
•
Actively participate in client calls to understand financial workflows and surface product opportunities.
•
Set up prioritization frameworks that balance urgency, client impact, and long-term scalability.
•
Collaborate with founders to align objectives and build a product vision that differentiates the company in the market.
•
Identify and escalate when the team is overloaded or scope is getting out of hand.
•
Lay the foundations of a solid product culture — processes, criteria, ways of working — from zero.
Requirements
•
5–10 years of experience in product management.
•
Proven experience in high-growth startups — not companies where projects have six-month roadmaps defined upfront.
•
Experience taking initiatives from 0 to 1 or 1 to 2: building processes, structures, or products where nothing existed before.
•
Ability to lead engineering teams with authority and clarity.
•
Fluent conversational English; direct exposure to clients in Europe.
•
Background in fintech or B2B SaaS.
•
Working with AI tools as part of your day-to-day workflow is a plus.
What We're Looking For
•
Adaptability without losing the strategic thread.
•
The authority to tell founders when the team is at its limit or scope is spiraling.
•
Clear, direct communication with engineers, founders, and clients alike.
•
Real ownership: if something breaks, you fix it — you don't wait to be told.
•
Builder mindset: you're energized by creating structure where there isn't any.
Why Join
•
First PM at the company — you build the product function from scratch.
•
Daily access to founders and real exposure to clients in Europe.
•
The problem you're solving — AI-powered accounting automation for enterprise — is technically hard and commercially relevant in a global market.
•
Competitive salary in USD and equity.
