We’re seeking a Data & Automation Analyst to join our Technology and Operations Improvement team. This role combines data analysis, automation development and process improvement to increase efficiency, reduce cost and enhance the customer experience across warehouse, transport and customer service functions.

The role

Design, develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards and reports to support operational decision-making and performance measurement

Develop automation solutions (RPA, scripts, ETL jobs) to remove manual tasks and improve process throughput across warehouse, transport and customer service teams

Work with cross-functional stakeholders (operations, planning, IT, supply chain) to translate business problems into analytics and automation deliverables

Analyse operational data (OTIF, throughput, returns, shrinkage, vehicle utilisation) to identify root causes and recommend data-driven improvement actions

Create and maintain clear technical documentation, data dictionaries and runbooks to ensure solutions are supportable and auditable

Implement and maintain data quality controls and monitoring to ensure reliable insights and automation outcomes

Support deployment and change management activities, including testing, user training and post-implementation reviews

Produce concise management reports and visualisations for senior stakeholders to inform strategy and operational planning

Champion continuous improvement and best practice in data engineering, analytics and automation across the business

Who we’re looking for

Proven experience in data analysis, automation development or business intelligence within operations, logistics or related environments

Practical skills in SQL and experience with at least one scripting or programming language (Python, R, or similar)

Experience building dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker

Familiarity with ETL concepts, data warehouses and cloud data platforms is desirable

Knowledge of automation technologies (RPA tools, workflow automation, API integration) and a track record of delivering automation projects

Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a pragmatic, hands-on approach

Experience of working with operational KPIs (throughput, OTIF, delivery performance) and driving process improvement through data

Self-motivated, organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
