Our people are the heart of our achievements. Whether you're starting out or a seasoned pro, if you take pride in your work and have bold ambitions, Archetype might be the place for you.

You are a creative thinker, problem solver, and storyteller. You thrive in a high-standard environment, where curiosity is encouraged, ambition celebrated, and kindness valued. As a self-motivated storyteller, you break new ground with strategic, creative campaigns. Your unique ideas and perspectives help us do our best work and make a difference in the world.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive (SAE) to join our San Francisco team, supporting a portfolio of leading cybersecurity and enterprise technology clients.

As an SAE, you are a trusted communications professional who independently manages projects, drives media outcomes, and serves as a key day-to-day contact for clients. You understand how to translate complex technical topics into compelling narratives that resonate with business, technology, and security audiences. You thrive in fast-paced environments, proactively identify opportunities, and consistently deliver exceptional client service.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys equal parts media relations, strategic storytelling, and account management. Beyond client work, you'll contribute to Archetype's continued growth by supporting new business opportunities, participating in pitches, and helping shape ideas that win new clients.

What You Do

Monitor the cybersecurity, technology, and business landscape to identify proactive storytelling opportunities and emerging issues

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and client expectations are met

Lead development of meeting agendas, status reports, action trackers, and client updates

Provide thoughtful recommendations and day-to-day counsel to clients

Support executive thought leadership programs, speaking opportunities, and industry event strategies

Review junior staff work, providing feedback, coaching, and mentorship

Collaborate across earned, owned, social, and content programs to deliver integrated communications campaigns

Participate in new business opportunities through research, proposal development, brainstorms, competitive analysis, and pitch presentations

Contribute fresh ideas that help clients and prospects navigate evolving cybersecurity and technology narratives

Champion the use of AI tools and emerging tech to enhance writing, research, and content production efficiency

What You Offer

3–5+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or integrated marketing

Previous agency experience strongly preferred

Experience supporting cybersecurity, security, enterprise technology, cloud, infrastructure, networking, AI, or related technology clients

Proven track record securing meaningful media coverage and developing strong journalist relationships

Strong understanding of the cybersecurity media landscape and key industry conversations

Exceptional writing, editing, research, and verbal communication skills

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling stories for multiple audiences

Experience managing projects independently from strategy through execution

Confidence participating in client meetings and presenting recommendations

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Experience mentoring Associates, Coordinators, or Account Executives

Curiosity about emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, AI, and the future of communications

Experience supporting new business initiatives, agency marketing efforts, or pitch development preferred

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field preferred

Willingness to work from our San Francisco office as part of a hybrid work environment

Champion the use of AI tools and emerging tech to enhance writing, research, and content production efficiency
