Position: Tax Senior Coordinator

This position will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of the organization's tax obligations in Mexico and international entities, coordinating the tax team, external advisors, and key internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate tax risks, and drive continuous improvement in tax processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international tax obligations, including the accurate and timely filing of tax returns, payments, and regulatory reports.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external tax audits, as well as inquiries and requirements from tax authorities.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, tax reports (ISSIF and SIPRED), and other regulatory obligations.
  • Provide tax guidance and advisory support to various business areas, assessing risks and recommending solutions aligned with applicable legislation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Controllership, Legal, Treasury, Operations, and Accounts Payable to ensure proper tax support for business transactions.
  • Lead and develop a team of tax specialists and analysts, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Drive automation, efficiency, and tax process optimization initiatives.
  • Participate in projects related to intercompany transactions, digital platforms, and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in corporate tax compliance.
  • Previous experience leading teams.
  • Experience within multinational companies, corporate environments, or Big Four firms.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international corporate taxation.
  • Experience with tax filings, SAT requirements, ISSIF, and SIPRED.
  • Knowledge of accounting and tax regulations under applicable standards.
  • Experience using SAP ERP.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with automation and data analytics tools (Alteryx, databases, reporting tools) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced English proficiency (required).
  • Strong planning, organizational, leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical thinking skills.
