Job description
We are seeking a hands-on QA Automation Engineer to join our team at Dripify, a leading B2B SaaS product company. We're at the start of our automation journey, and a Java-based test platform (owned by the team's SDET) is already in place.
The current QA team includes an AQA Lead, SDET, 1 AQA. We are planning to grow a dedicated Automation QA team, and this role will be a core contributor in shaping it.
Your mandate: rapidly expand automated coverage, contribute to a strong regression suite aligned to an evolving traceability matrix, and continuously improve test quality through direct hands-on contributions.
Requirements
•
6+ years of experience in automation testing (with at least 3 years in UI testing and API testing)
•
Strong Java 17+ skills for test automation development
•
Strong SQL skills for data validation and test setup
•
Strong API testing skills - REST Assured
•
UI automation: Playwright or Selenium
•
Test structure: Cucumber (Gherkin)
•
Test runner: TestNG or JUnit
•
Practical experience with AI coding assistants (Claude Code or similar) for test case creation, automation development, and test data generation (mandatory)
•
Good understanding of HTTP protocols and browser developer tools for debugging and analysis
•
Basic Bash scripting
•
English level: B2+
Would be a plus
•
Spring Framework 5 (dependency injection / understanding application architecture)
•
Build tools: Gradle (Kotlin DSL) or Maven
•
Database access patterns: HikariCP + PostgreSQL, SSH tunneling (JSch) or similar
•
Reporting with Allure
•
Logging with Logback + SLF4J
•
Docker and Docker Compose for containerized test environments
•
WebProxy tools (mitmproxy, Wireshark) for traffic analysis
•
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and optimizing test execution
•
Contract testing (Pact) and API schema validation
Responsibilities
•
Design, write, review, and maintain automated tests (UI, API, integration)
•
Contribute production-level automation code on a regular basis
•
Contribute to the traceability matrix and help expand regression coverage
•
Prepare clear test reports, documenting coverage, results, and identified defects
