Job description

Due to significant commercial growth in this sector, WSP Italia is seeking to enhance the expertise of our Engineering Services. We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design of electrical systems in industrial environments, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards. He/she shall have experience in industrial plants and basic knowledge of automation and instrumentation. The role includes end-to-end engineering design activities, coordination with multidisciplinary teams and support during project execution.

YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?

Design of electrical systems for industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with standards, safety and performance requirements

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Assist in the integration and basic configuration of automation systems (PLCs, SCADA)

Support instrumentation activities

Prepare technical documentation, and project updates

Setup and review of main electrical engineering deliverables such as: Single Line Diagrams (SLD), cable schedules, load lists and electrical schematics, electrical calculations, technical specifications and engineering reports

Coordinate with contractors, and vendors

Support installation, testing and commissioning activities

WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

5–7 years of experience in industrial electrical design

Basic knowledge of automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS)

Familiarity with IEC / IEEE standards

AutoCAD, ETAP, DigSilent, EPLAN or equivalent tools

Design of electrical systems in industrial environments

Desirable

Experience in industrial and data center environments

Exposure to international projects

Experience in power distribution systems, substations and switchgear
