English-speaking Content Moderator in Sofia

Workster is partnering with a fast-growing global technology company to recruit an English-speaking Content Moderator for their Sofia-based team.

As a Content Moderator, you will ensure that user-generated content across our client’s platforms meets community guidelines and legal standards. You will review text, images, and video, make informed moderation decisions, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for users. This role is ideal for someone with strong English comprehension, good judgement, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, shift-based setting.

Your Role

•

Review user-generated content (text, images, video) for compliance with community standards and local laws

•

Make consistent moderation decisions based on written policies and training materials

•

Categorise, tag and document content decisions accurately in the moderation platform

•

Escalate complex or borderline cases to senior moderators or policy teams as required

•

Provide constructive feedback on content policy and contribute to updates of moderation guidelines

•

Meet individual and team quality and productivity targets while maintaining high attention to detail

•

Collaborate with multilingual teams, safety, and operations colleagues to resolve issues

•

Participate in ongoing training, calibration sessions and quality assurance reviews

Your Qualifications

•

Native or fluent in English (C1 level or higher) with excellent written and verbal communication skills

•

Previous experience in content moderation, trust & safety, customer support, or a related role is advantageous

•

Strong attention to detail and ability to apply policies consistently under time pressure

•

Comfortable making sensitive decisions and handling potentially disturbing content with professionalism

•

Basic understanding of online communities, social media platforms and content risks

•

Proficiency with digital tools and willingness to learn new moderation platforms

•

Ability to work in rotating shifts and be on-site in Sofia (must have full eligibility to live and work in Bulgaria)

•

High level of reliability, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
