Head of Treasury

With bold growth plans and strong momentum across multiple markets, we’re now looking for a Head of Treasury to drive our AI transformation of the treasury function to prepare us for the next phase of growth.

About the role

As Head of Treasury, you will independently own and drive our treasury function, serving as a dedicated expert within our broader Finance team. This role is critical in managing the bank's funding, liquidity, capital, as well as FX and interest rate risk as we continue to expand in the EU and beyond. Additionally, you will manage debt investors and bank relations as well as supporting in cash management, regulatory reporting and the bank's ICLAAP.

In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and will have the responsibility of presenting updates to the CEO, Board, and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

Examples of key tasks

Developing our Treasury for Agentic first

•

Architect a scalable treasury operating model, establishing our core cash and funding strategies almost free from legacy system constraints

•

Design and oversee autonomous workflows, enabling software agents to handle routine daily liquidity sweeps, cash positioning as well as proposing treasury actions to be executed for funding and FX

•

Partner with AI and financial systems engineers to build programmatic, data-driven pipelines that deliver real-time treasury insights

Funding strategy and execution

•

Setting and executing the funding strategy and capital optimisation to fuel our growth as well as manage the bank's daily funding requirements to ensure liquidity needs are met

•

Monitor and analyze cash flows, optimizing funding costs, and optimising risk / return within our risk appetite framework

•

Collaborate with internal teams to forecast funding needs and develop funding strategies, including owning the deposit channels and driving the expansion of these as we grow

Capital, Liquidity and FX Management

•

Evaluate and monitor the bank's capital adequacy and liquidity position and implement strategies to optimize capital utilization and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements

•

Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and liquidity risk assessments

•

Ensure efficient FX hedging of our balances within appetite

What we are looking for

•

A university degree in economics, engineering, mathematics or a related relevant discipline

•

Relevant work experience from bank treasury or consultancy of +5 years

•

Have experience with deposits, FX hedging under ISDA agreements and bank relationships

•

Experience within the financial sector and working with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (SFSA)

•

A strong interest in agentic AI transformation

•

Professional level in Excel and feel comfortable in SQL

•

Excellent command of spoken and written Swedish and English
