At T&G Global, we’re passionate about growing healthier futures. Our Whakatu Packhouse is a fast paced, high performing environment, and we’re looking for an Operations Technician to take a key seat in the heart of our operation, the Control Room.

About the Role This is a key operations role where you’ll help keep packhouse production running smoothly. You’ll work in real time, coordinating people, systems, and fruit flow to support efficient operations.

You’ll monitor production, adjust where needed, and work closely with the team to resolve any issues as they arise.

What You’ll Be Doing

•

Oversee packhouse production from the Control Room

•

Coordinate fruit flow and team communication

•

Monitor performance and adjust settings as needed

•

Respond to production issues and support quick resolutions

•

Work closely with supervisors, quality, logistics, and production teams

•

Maintain accurate system information (Compac and SAP)

•

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

•

Able to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure

•

Strong organisational and multitasking skills

•

Confident communicator in a fast-paced environment

•

Comfortable using computers, including Excel

•

Willingness to learn systems and machinery

Highly regarded

•

Experience in packhouse or production environments

•

Control room or operations coordination experience

Seasonal Rhythm During peak season, you’ll work longer shifts in a fast-paced environment, which may include night shifts for around six months of the year. For the rest of the year, shifts move to days, with a focus on maintenance, continuous improvement, and development, giving you variety across the year.
