Account Manager - Agency

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a fantastic opportunity to join NZME’s award-winning Auckland Agency Sales team as an Account Manager. You’ll support a portfolio of agency clients, building strong relationships while developing your commercial capability in a fast-paced media environment.

Working closely with your Group Account Director, Account Directors and wider commercial team, you’ll play a key role in delivering smart, integrated media solutions across NZME’s leading digital, radio and print brands. This role is ideal for someone early in their career looking to step up from a coordinator or agency planning role into a client-facing sales position.

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

You’ll support the day-to-day management of agency relationships, helping to respond to briefs and deliver high-quality, multi-platform proposals.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure campaigns are executed seamlessly and to a high standard.

•

Bring a proactive mindset, contribute ideas, and identify opportunities to grow revenue and strengthen client partnerships.

•

As you build confidence, you’ll take on increasing ownership of accounts, balancing strong client service with developing commercial acumen.

ABOUT YOU

•

1–2 years’ experience in media, e.g. coordinator, account executive or junior planner role

•

Passion for building relationships and developing a career in media sales

•

Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple briefs

•

Confident communicator with a collaborative approach

•

Curious, proactive and keen to learn from a high-performing team
