YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Production
•
Development of the production budget and controlling of the compliance with this budget.
•
Implementation of the Safety System in manufacturing and logistics .
•
Supports the sales department in production engineering through continuous training and education efforts
•
Supports the development of a high-performance organization through recruitment, leadership and continuous training and education efforts for the Team- / Shift Leaders .
•
Planning, controlling and supervising of the operating resources .
•
Implementation of quality management within production .
•
Ensure service and production rejects to ensure scrap within target levels and to reach production targets .
•
Controlling of the compliance with environmental protection guidelines .
•
Building Maintenance.
•
Drive plant productivity continuous improvement through lean manufacturing .
•
Carries out all duties safely and with consideration of environmental impact, understands and works within the company values, compliance system and Code of Business Conduct.
•
Carries out other duties in the company’s interest as agreed with management.
Quality
•
Act as the coordinator of the “quality promoters” in production, in cooperation with VSM .
•
Permanent controlling on compliance of defined quality processes - incoming goods and in production .
•
Determine and present quality reports (monthly/quarterly) with key figures on Overproduction, Waste, Rework, Claims, etc.
New Product Development
•
Manages the execution of assigned new product development MF projects .
•
Insures the effective/disciplined use of the NPD process and related sub-processes by all project team and functional support members .
•
Achieves the targeted cost, schedule and product performance objectives of all assigned projects.
•
Develops and manages project budgets within agreed upon targets.
•
Supports Product Managers and other key functional leaders in the development of business cases and other key NPD process related documentation.
•
Develops and manaages approved project resource plans through the length of all assigned projects.
•
Provides ongoing and effective communications of project activities to all key business stakeholders.
•
Actively participates in selected leadership and functional staff meetings as required to keep key stakeholders aware of NPD project activities, changes, issues, etc.
YOUR PROFILE
Background
•
Bachelors’ degree in Chemical, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
•
Minimum of 10 years' experience in Operations Management with P&L responsibility in a plant
Functional, methodological expertise
•
Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing
•
Strong working knowledge of ERP and other Supply Chain technology tools
•
Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of success in building manufacturing teams
•
Change Management Skills
•
Strong process improvement discipline
•
Ability to analyze problems and provide innovative solutions
•
Excellent written and oral communications both in English and Chinese
