[self workAt:@"triband" with:@”horses”] ?
As our new iOS/Cross-Platform Programmer in our Core Tech Team, you'll be the go-to person for everything Apple-related at Triband. That means building and maintaining Unity plugins for iOS, macOS, and tvOS, solving platform-specific issues in Xcode, and making sure our games run smoothly across all Apple platforms. You'll work cross-functionally across multiple game teams and the core tech team, so the ability to adapt your communication depending on who you're talking to is just as important as your technical skills.
Here's what that looks like day to day
•
Creating and maintaining native Unity plugins that interface with Apple SDKs across iOS, macOS, and tvOS
•
Working on Unity packages, both building new ones and improving existing ones
•
Debugging performance issues on Apple platforms, including thermal state management and shader performance
•
Solving platform-specific issues in Xcode (e.g., feature implementation)
•
Supporting App Store Connect deliveries across projects
•
Being the bridge between Apple's ecosystem and our game teams, translating platform complexity into actionable solutions
Must-haves
•
Deep knowledge of Apple platforms (iOS, macOS, and tvOS), including SDKs, frameworks, system capabilities, and cross-platform compatibility
•
Experience building plugins that interface with native Apple SDKs
•
Xcode expertise, including profiling, debugging, and performance optimization
•
Swift proficiency
•
Basic Objective-C knowledge
•
Basic C# knowledge
•
A communication style that adapts to different disciplines and levels of technical context
•
Tolerance toward uncertainty and a test-and-learn mentality
•
Confidence talking to external stakeholders and keeping everyone aligned
Nice-to-haves
•
Experience shipping or contributing to a published Unity game on Apple platforms
•
Game programming experience
•
Familiarity with App Store Connect
•
Knowledge of Game Center features

WHAT THE TRIBAND?
Triband is the award-winning studio behind the WHAT THE? comedy game series, which is played by millions worldwide. From our home in central Copenhagen, more than 50 wonderful humans are united by our mission to make everyone laugh. To do so, we focus on exploring comedy through gameplay. We like to break player expectations, use wonderful music, slick art, and create a quirky atmosphere. We experiment a lot, and it doesn’t always work out, but we always learn something.
We put people first and strive to create a safe and creative working environment. We believe that teams, not individuals, make games - and we believe diversity makes for better teams. For these reasons, we look for people who bring new perspectives and will challenge us and our way of doing things.
