The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Parts & Operations Administrator to support our Test & Development (T&D) department on a 3-month contract. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth management of parts, logistics, and administrative processes that underpin prototype development and testing activities.

You will act as a central point of coordination between Engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and laboratory heads, ensuring parts are ordered, inspected, tracked, and delivered efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Parts & Logistics Management

Raise stock requests, credit card requests, and purchase orders in line with company procedures

Order, retrieve, and inspect parts against engineering drawings

Collate, maintain, and manage detailed parts lists and requirements

Package and ship parts and prototypes domestically and internationally

Arrange carnets and manage shipping documentation for prototype movements

Financial & Administrative Support

Book in and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner

Maintain organised records of parts, documentation, and prototype files

Provide general administrative support to the Test & Development function

Stakeholder Coordination

Liaise with internal departments, external suppliers, customers, and laboratory heads regarding parts requirements and logistics

Ensure clear communication and timely updates on part status and deliveries

Skills & Experience

Essential

Proven experience in parts management, logistics coordination, or a similar operational role

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience viewing CAD models and comparing them to physical parts

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and coordination skills

Desirable

Experience within the automotive industry
