Job description

About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 5 driver to join our Christchurch-based Transport team. This role involves safe and timely delivery of Bitumen products to customer sites, other work will include truck and trailer driving while supporting project schedules maintaining high standards of customer service and operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Safely transport Bitumen products to designated locations following all local driving regulations.

Verify delivery instructions and ensure accurate logging of deliveries.

Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.

Communicate effectively with the logistics team to optimise route efficiency.

Perform routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or repair needs.

Adhere to health, safety and environmental requirements on site, including use of PPE and following site-specific induction procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Possess a full New Zealand driving licence Class 5.

Previous experience in a driving role, preferably with Bitumen products is an advantage but not essential.

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Good geographical knowledge of Christchurch and surrounding areas.

Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks.
