Senior Technical Product Manager

The work

Quantum computing is moving from research labs into real-world environments. As Senior Technical Product Manager for IQM Radiance and IQM Spark, you will help shape how customers experience and use IQM's on-premises quantum computers.

You will own the product direction across the complete lifecycle of our systems, from quantum processors and control electronics to software and system performance. Working closely with R&D, engineering, sales, and customers, you will turn technical possibilities into products that solve meaningful problems.

This role sits at the intersection of science, engineering, and business. You will help prioritize development efforts, define future capabilities, and ensure our products continue to deliver value in a rapidly evolving quantum computing landscape

What you’ll actually do

•

Define product requirements across quantum hardware, cryogenics, control electronics, software, and system performance

•

Identify product gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities through customer feedback, testing results, and technology roadmaps

•

Drive the definition and implementation of new product capabilities together with R&D and engineering teams

•

Translate complex technical concepts into clear customer-facing documentation, including product descriptions, manuals, and site requirements

•

Support responses to customer procurements and quantum computing tenders

•

Work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand emerging needs and market requirements

•

Develop technical strategy and roadmap for our current and future generation products in collaboration with technology teams and suppliers

•

Drive innovation initiatives by evaluating future technology and market opportunities and validating new concepts or MVPs

•

Act as a bridge between business priorities and engineering, helping teams make informed trade-off decisions

What we’re looking for

•

MSc in Physics, Quantum Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field

•

Several years of experience in product management, technical leadership, systems engineering, or a similar role within a deep-tech environment

•

Experience working with the full product lifecycle from requirements, design, validation, production, and post-sales support

•

Strong engineering background in both hardware and software

•

Understanding of complex technical systems and the ability to connect business needs with engineering execution

•

Knowledge of quantum computing technologies and the broader quantum ecosystem

•

Experience balancing competing priorities and aligning stakeholders around clear decisions

•

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

•

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without formal authority

Seen as beneficial

•

Scientific or engineering experience in quantum computing, semiconductors, scientific instrumentation, HPC, cloud or related fields

•

Experience working with government, research, or public procurement processes

•

Familiarity with product strategy, market analysis, and technology roadmaps

•

Experience launching technically complex products into global markets

•

Experience working with certification, compliance, or regulatory requirements
