Tradecraft Instructor

Overview

Pherson is seeking Tradecraft Instructors to deliver tradecraft modules (writing/briefing/critical thinking), develop learning objectives and lesson plans, and provide student feedback aligned to tradecraft standards. In addition, this position may serve as a Lead Instructor supporting schedule/input, quality control, and mentoring.

Location: Northern Virginia

Operating Hours and Expectations: This position anticipates onsite work with standard work hours, Monday-Friday.

Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/FS Poly (TS/SCI ISSA)

Skills/Knowledge

• Ability to provide constructive and targeted feedback on analytic tradecraft in writing, briefing, and critical thinking using analytic standards and quality framework guidelines.
• Ability to collaborate with instructional designers to integrate practical applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work and teach in a classified environment.

Qualifications

Required

• Seven to ten (7-10) years of experience working as an analytic manager and/or analyst, including at least seven years of experience in mentoring and providing substantive review of and personal feedback on drafts and briefings to analysts.
• At least seven (7) years of experience with the analytic techniques, tools, methods/procedures, and approaches used in the IC, as well as in academia and the private sector.
• Demonstrated success in delivering lectures, modules, and workshops to adult learners.

Desired

• Instructor Certification.
