Junior Data Analyst

SUMMARY

We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Analyst to join our Operations team and support our business and finance teams with data-driven insights.

In this role, you will focus primarily on analysing project profitability and financial performance, while also contributing to broader data analytics and reporting activities. You will work with real business and operational data, helping to identify trends, improve reporting processes, and support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in developing skills in data analytics, finance, and business intelligence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Analyse project revenues, costs, margins, and overall profitability
• Prepare and maintain reports related to project financial performance and profitability
• Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to improve project performance
• Support management with regular and ad-hoc financial analyses
• Validate and reconcile data used for reporting and ensure its accuracy
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Finance teams to understand and explain financial results
• Support data analysis and reporting activities across different business areas
• Prepare dashboards, visualisations, and management reports
• Clean, transform, and validate data from multiple data sources
• Contribute to the automation and optimisation of reporting processes
• Support the maintenance and improvement of analytical tools and reporting solutions

TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis functions and Pivot Tables
• Basic knowledge of data visualisation or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage
• Basic understanding of SQL, Python, or other analytics tools is a plus
• Understanding of financial concepts such as profitability, margins, or cost analysis is beneficial
• Studies in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (completed or in progress)
• Entry-level role – suitable for students or recent graduates
• Previous internship, academic project, or practical experience in data analysis or reporting is an advantage
• Exposure to working with data, dashboards, or reporting tools is beneficial
