Job description
Our Cairo office plays a pivotal role in our brokerage and investment banking operations in Egypt. We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR Officer to join our Cairo team and manage day-to-day human resources functions, while also supporting broader regional HR initiatives.
Role Overview
The HR Officer will be responsible for overseeing all generalist HR functions in the Cairo office, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll coordination, and compliance with Egyptian labor laws. The role will also serve as the local liaison with the Head Office HR team in Dubai and will gradually expand to support regional HR projects and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Local HR Management (Cairo)
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, offboarding.
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs and liaise with finance for timely processing.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with Egyptian labor law.
- Handle disciplinary and grievance matters, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
- Monitor attendance, leave balances, and ensure HRIS data is up to date.
- Support local talent development, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Coordinate with legal or regulatory bodies when required for HR matters.
Regional Support (Dubai HQ)
- Provide monthly and ad-hoc HR reports to the Regional Head of HR.
- Support implementation of regional HR policies, processes, and digital systems.
- Participate in HR projects and cross-office initiatives (e.g., performance reviews, training rollouts, employee engagement).
- Ensure alignment of local practices with corporate HR strategy and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in financial services or multinational organizations.
- Solid knowledge of Egyptian labor laws and employment practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive and able to work independently with regional support.
- Professional fluency in English and Arabic is required.
- Experience with HRIS and digital tools is a plus.
