Job description

Main Purpose of the Role

Provide analytical, operational, and execution support to the EM Fixed Income Sales & Trading desk. Assist senior team members in trade execution, client coverage, and market analysis while developing strong technical and product knowledge in MENA and frontier market debt instruments.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support execution of fixed income transactions, including bonds, sukuk, and other credit instruments, under the guidance of senior sales traders.
  • Conduct market and credit research, preparing daily updates, reports, and presentations for internal and client use.
  • Monitor market news, credit spreads, and macroeconomic developments relevant to EM/MENA debt markets.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating pricing sheets, investor databases, and trade records.
  • Prepare transaction materials, such as pitch books, market summaries, and client presentations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Risk, Compliance, Research) to ensure smooth trade settlement and accurate reporting.
  • Participate in primary issuance processes, supporting senior staff in bookbuilding and allocation tracking.
  • Provide post-trade support including transaction cost analysis (TCA) and revenue reporting.
  • Learn and apply compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to fixed income trading.

Qualifications Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in fixed income, credit research, trading, or investment banking (internships acceptable).
  • Basic understanding of debt capital markets, bonds, and sukuk instruments.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and exposure to Bloomberg or Refinitiv preferred.
  • Strong motivation to develop a career in EM fixed income markets.
