General Summary
Responsible for achieving monthly and annual blood collection goals by developing and managing partnerships with community organizations, businesses, schools, and other stakeholders to drive blood donor participation and support a stable blood supply.
This role focuses on account growth, donor engagement, and execution of high-impact blood drives aligned with organizational collection goals.

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Tasks
- Meet or exceed assigned collection goals and performance targets
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned donor recruitment accounts (e.g., corporations, schools, community organizations)
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with account coordinators and key decision-makers
- Conduct regular outreach and account planning meetings to ensure ongoing engagement and success
- Provide excellent customer service to strengthen long-term partnerships
- Collaborate with accounts to schedule, coordinate, and execute blood drives
- Develop customized strategies to maximize donor turnout and drive productivity
- Ensure all logistical requirements are met, including venue setup, staffing coordination, and donor flow
- Monitor drive performance and implement improvements for future events
- Develop and execute donor recruitment plans to attract new and repeat blood donors
- Partner with marketing teams to promote blood drives via digital, print, and on-site campaigns
- Educate sponsors and donor groups on the importance of blood donation and its impact on patient care
- Leverage social media, email campaigns, and community engagement strategies
- Analyze donor trends, account performance, and collection data to identify opportunities for growth
- Expand existing accounts and identify new partnerships to increase donor base
- Support special initiatives such as emergency blood shortages or targeted recruitment campaigns
- Work cross-functionally with collections, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of drives
- Communicate account needs, challenges, and feedback to internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Other Donor Recruitment department tasks as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Tasks
- Assist with High School Red Cord and Rewards programs.
- Run departmental errands as directed.
Required Minimum Education
Requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
Preferred Education
Prefer a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Licenses and/or Certifications
- Valid United States Driver’s License
Experience
Required Minimum Experience
- Requires two years combination of sales experience (inside or outside), customer service, and/or event planning.
Preferred Experience
- Previous outside sales experience preferred.
Experience Exception to Education
Knowledge
- Must have a thorough understanding of relationship selling process.
- Must acquire or possess a thorough working knowledge of all phases of the blood donation and donor recruitment process.
- Must be able to handle multiple assignments and deadlines at the same time.
- Must be or become familiar with the community and/or assigned territory.

- Must possess strong sales skills.
- Must have effective planning and time management skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Must have effective and professional presentation skills (both small and large groups).

- Must have the ability to consistently conduct 5-15 in person, face-to-face sales appointments each week.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities on an ongoing basis.

- Must be able to keep information confidential.
Working Environment & Travel Requirements
Works in a well-lighted, air conditioned and heated office.
May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment.
May be exposed to blood borne pathogens and other conditions common to a clinical laboratory environment.
May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend to include being on-call. Occupational Exposure Assignment - Category I
Travel Requirements
Occasional out of town and overnight stays required.
Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required.
Physical Requirements
Requires face to face interaction with co-workers and/or others.
Will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours.
Must be able to drive on behalf of the organization.
Requires to reach, lift and carry up to 20 lbs
