Journeyman TIG Welder (Camp / LOA, In-Field)

Alstar Group of Companies Ltd. has been providing quality construction services to the oil & gas industry since 1969. Located in Calgary & Leduc with projects throughout Western Canada, we are a leader in the industry for turn-key new construction, maintenance and prefabrication.

We are looking for Journeyman Welder, Camp / LOA with accommodations provided and flat rate to cover travel - typically covers flights, or travel by vehicle. 14/7 rotation in Northern BC.

What we’re looking for from you – If this describes you, we’d love to meet!

  • Journeyman Welding certification
  • WHMIS 2015, CSO, Standard First Aid, HS2 Alive and Fall Protection
  • Successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • BC Class A Certification
  • Oil and gas experience preferred, not required, comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Carbon Steel Tig Welder
  • Willingness to travel away from home for extended periods of time

Where our projects are located

  • Our projects happen in 4 major sites in Western Canada, which include locations like Conklin AB, Grande Prairie AB, Whitecourt AB and Fort St. John BC.
  • You will be required to travel on your own, by vehicle or plane. Alstar does provide a flat rate to cover travel and will typically cover flights well.
