With 1–3 years’ experience in finance, fund administration, audit, or operations, you understand the importance of cash, pricing, and position accuracy, and the impact errors can have on clients and reporting.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in investment operations within a wealth management business, gaining exposure to UK teams, platforms, and industry practices while developing strong technical and control skills.

About the role We are a UK based wealth management firm with client support operations in South Africa.

As an Investment Operations Analyst, you will support the accuracy and integrity of client portfolios by performing reconciliations, pricing checks, and cash monitoring across multiple systems and third-party providers.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and UK stakeholders, ensuring that client assets, valuations, and cash balances are correct, and that any discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.

This role offers hands-on experience across the full investment operations lifecycle, with structured support and the opportunity to grow within a global business.

Skills and Experience

1–3 years’ experience in

Investment operations or fund administration

Reconciliations or financial operations

Audit or accounting (junior level)

Strong understanding of

Cash and position reconciliations

Pricing and valuations

Financial controls and data accuracy

Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables)

High attention to detail with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Clear communication skills, with confidence to escalate issues appropriately

Accountabilities

Perform daily cash, position, and valuation reconciliations across internal systems and third-party platforms

Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, pricing differences, and missing transactions

Support pricing validation processes to ensure accurate client portfolio valuations

Monitor and review client cash balances, including identifying and escalating overdrawn positions or unusual movements

Liaise with UK-based teams and external providers to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity
