Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

Specter Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, and operation of advanced hypersonic flight systems. Working alongside engineers, technicians, and test personnel, this role will be responsible for building and maintaining prototype hardware, supporting rapid design iterations, and executing development and test activities in a fast-paced startup environment.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic setting where speed, quality, and teamwork are critical. This position will play a key role in transforming engineering designs into flight-ready hardware by supporting fabrication, mechanical assembly, vehicle integration, troubleshooting, and test operations.

About Specter Aerospace

Specter Aerospace is building the next generation of hypersonic vehicles for defense applications. Specter is headquartered in Peabody, MA, just north of Boston, where it leverages its advanced propulsion technologies, manufacturing, and testing capabilities to rapidly develop supersonic and hypersonic systems. Funded by a mix of government R&D organizations, commercial customers, and private funding, Specter is a growing aerospace and defense startup. Specter is expanding its team in preparation for flight testing and full-scale production.
