Opportunity in Established Vancouver Business Law Firm
Koffman Kalef LLP is looking for a Partner to join our Tax/Trusts team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with strong technical expertise to step into a collaborative, intellectually engaging environment with meaningful opportunities to contribute and grow.
About the Role
We are looking for a lawyer with a minimum of 6 years of call who brings strong tax knowledge and a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach. This role is well-suited for someone who is passionate about tax law and enjoys contributing to complex matters, supporting firm clients, and helping shape the continued evolution of our tax practice.
We are open to candidates with portable, partial, or full practices.

Koffman Kalef LLP is a mid-sized business law firm located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, with a team of 32 lawyers practicing in select areas of business law, including tax, securities, corporate finance, real estate, banking, and mergers and acquisitions.
We are known for our collegial and team-based culture, where lawyers collaborate closely across practice groups. Our tax practice plays a key role in supporting firm-wide transactions and advising on sophisticated planning matters.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in tax court;
- Expertise leading tax disputes through trial;
- Proven business development track record and ability to originate and manage client relationships;
- Extensive experience in corporate and personal tax planning, trusts and estates, and private company planning;
- A thoughtful and analytical mindset, with a desire to contribute intellectually to complex matters;
- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a team-oriented approach;
- Minimum 6 years of call.
Compensation
The anticipated compensation range for this role is $250,000 - $350,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on factors including years of practice, area of expertise, and the size and portability of an existing client base.
