We are looking for a Transaction Monitoring Specialist (Corporate) to join our team and support BankPro’s growing operations in Bahamas. This role focuses on monitoring and assessing corporate client transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong commercial understanding of client activity. You will work closely with Compliance and internal stakeholders to identify, investigate, and mitigate financial crime risks across international transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review corporate client transactions to identify potential money laundering (ML) and terrorist financing (TF) risks.
  • Assess transactions in line with client profiles, including cross-border payments, FX activity, and global business operations.
  • Investigate and clear flagged transactions, escalating complex cases where required.
  • Conduct sanctions screening, adverse media checks , and risk-based analysis.
  • Prepare and submit internal and external Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when necessary.
  • Design, implement, and maintain transaction monitoring rules , including parameters tailored to corporate clients.
  • Continuously review and enhance monitoring rules based on evolving risks and business needs.
  • Handle alerts and ensure proper documentation, justification, and closure of cases.
  • Identify trends and anomalies, providing recommendations to improve systems and processes.
  • Stay up to date with AML/CFT regulations and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Transaction Monitoring, AML, or Financial Crime within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong experience working with corporate clients and understanding of their transactional behavior.
  • Knowledge of international payments, cross-border transactions, FX, and trade-related activities.
  • Experience with sanctions screening, adverse media checks, and SAR reporting.
  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining transaction monitoring rules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess risk from both a compliance and commercial perspective.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly justify decisions.
  • Fluency in English is required.
