The Digital Fundraising Sr. Coordinator is primarily responsible for leading and managing alternative acquisition channels. This position is responsible for ensuring that these channels effectively engage supporters to generate income and foster long-term commitment to Greenpeace vision of ecological sustainability.

As Greenpeace maintains a strict policy against accepting funding from corporations or governments, we rely entirely on the generosity of individual supporters to fund our environmental campaigns.

The Fundraising Department’s current goal is to build and maintain a reliable, efficient, and ethical funding base that not only meets the financial needs of Greenpeace Southeast Asia but also aligns with our core values.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead digital acquisition strategies to grow Indonesia’s individual donor base, with a focus on the most responsive and values-aligned audiences.
  • Continuously refine campaigns to meet key performance indicators, ensuring responsible use of resources and mission impact.
  • Monitor global trends in digital fundraising and adapt relevant insights to strengthen Indonesia’s supporter engagement and acquisition efforts.
  • Collaborate with media agencies and internal teams to plan, implement, and optimize ethical, effective media and conversion campaigns.
  • Build lasting relationships with donors through thoughtful, personalized digital and print communication rooted in transparency and shared values.
  • Share inputs on who, what, when, and how to inspire and communicate with supporters and potential supporters. Identify, and cost effectively meet their needs.
  • Maintain accurate, transparent reporting systems to support informed decision-making and effective management of the online acquisition program.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators to identify high-impact opportunities for growth and engagement.
  • Research, test, and implement innovative digital fundraising approaches to strengthen supporter acquisition and align with evolving best practices.
  • Track and report on fundraising performance regularly, ensuring timely insights and strategic adjustments to maximize impact and efficiency.
  • Develop supporter journeys, donor segmentation, tracking processes, and use of new retention tools and methods.
  • Develop concepts and ideas for creative materials for all segments of donors.
  • Collaborate with Fundraising Team members to track donor conversion and test strategies that increase engagement and long-term support.
  • Monitor and analyze supporter attrition, working closely with the team to develop data-driven strategies to strengthen retention.
  • Provide relevant insights through regular reporting, including supporter demographics, channel performance, and campaign impact.
  • Coordinate with the Database Officer to ensure smooth operations of digital fundraising, including banking details and data flow across teams.
  • Actively participate in team, regional, and global meetings to stay aligned with broader campaign strategies and contribute to cross-team learning.
  • Work closely with the Supporter Care Officer to deliver and ensure the timeliness and consistency of all supporter care communications.
  • Ensure all materials are in line with Greenpeace brand guidelines and reflect our mission and values.
  • Develop effective cross-divisional relationships (integrated work and part of Engagement Digital team) to aid successful fundraising and achievement of campaign and mass networking objectives.
  • Work closely with external agencies to identify values-aligned audience segments and implement strategic donor acquisition plans that support long-term growth.
  • Collaborate with agencies to design and execute thoughtful donor retention initiatives that deepen supporter relationships and sustain engagement with our mission.
  • Ensure all agency-led activities are aligned with our organizational values, fundraising guidelines, and supporter experience standards.
  • Develop or follow-up the development of supporter communications materials with suppliers and agencies. This includes channel selection, copywriting, editing, design concepts, design process management, translation, testing plans and rollout with key performance tracking.
  • Set and monitor annual targets for online donor contributions, ensuring these targets are met or exceeded
  • Undertaking any other reasonable task that the FRM/DoFR sees fit for the smooth running of the digital fundraising function.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate administration, results reporting.
  • Ensure Greenpeace policy and procedures are observed.
  • Ensure the program remains transparent within the organization, report Key Performance Indicators, and at staff meetings.
  • Strategic Planning, Development & Support
  • Adjust and refine strategies to ensure Key Performance Indicators are met.
  • Stay informed on global digital fundraising trends and innovations, translating relevant strategies into context-appropriate initiatives for the Indonesian supporter base.
  • Contribute actively to the overall fundraising strategy, including planning and implementation across digital channels to maximize impact.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of digital fundraising campaigns, assessing results against ROI and key performance indicators to guide continuous improvement.
  • Collect, analyze, and report donor and audience data on a regular basis to inform strategic decision-making and identify trends in engagement and reach.
  • Support the development and execution of digital engagement strategies aimed at lead generation and supporter conversion, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to update supporter records, generate reports, and ensure data accuracy to strengthen donor stewardship and accountability.
  • Ensure all digital fundraising activities align with relevant laws and organizational policies, including data protection and ethical fundraising standards.
  • Ensure a positive supporter experience by responding promptly and respectfully to inquiries, feedback, and concerns across all digital channels.
  • Ensure that all communications are consistent with the GPID profile and brand and that Greenpeace name and logo rights are protected at all times.
  • Assist the Fundraising Manager/DoFR and the Regional Retention Team as required with the regular financial reporting and budget control for Supporter relationship communication and activities.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in running or supporting online fundraising campaigns.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience with supporter acquisition through paid and organic digital channels.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Experience in managing large budgets/meeting income targets.
  • Experience in working with people of different cultures.
  • Experience in budget forecasting and preparing annual budgets.
  • Experience in a charity or Non-for-Profit environment would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge and/or experience in using Microsoft Office package, digital and analytics tools: Google Analytics, Emailing solution, social media and media advertising tools Knowledge and/or experience in measuring and tracking data, and monitor reporting.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in using image editing software and design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, flash, including experience in the production of images, composite images, info-graphics and data visualization is a must.
  • Strong written and spoken English; other regional language skill Thai or Bahasa are required

Desirable qualities and skills

  • Knowledge and experience in the online media industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundraising in the non-profit sector

Specific Work Environment

  • Sensitive to the socio-economic cultural environment of Southeast Asia.
  • This position requires you to have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt and work in different and challenging work environments, which may include flexible arrangements working in challenging field and frontline work environments. In addition, you must be willing to travel internationally on some occasions and work in a multidisciplinary team environment across multiple time zones.
