POSITION TITLE: Outreach Coordinator- Mobile
DEPARTMENT: Administration
REPORTS TO: Director of Community & Parish Engagement
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, 40 Hours, (Sunday to Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
SALARY: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
The Mobile Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the safe transportation, operation,
and maintenance of the Mobile Unit, ensuring it remains in clean and in optimal working condition. This role supports site operations by overseeing set-up and breakdown, maintaining vehicle safety, and ensuring effective delivery of services in community settings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate with internal teams and community partners to confirm scheduled activities and events.
- Arrive on-site in a timely manner; set up and break down equipment (tables, chairs, canopies, etc.)
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and ensure safe operation of the Mobile
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of the vehicle and
- Track routine maintenance, coordinate service appointments, and maintain accurate logs.
- Monitor fuel levels and refuel the vehicle as
- Maintain inventory of supplies and submit requests as
- Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, including schedules, records, and event logistics.
- Provide accurate information and welcoming assistance to community members, parish community, and partners.
- Support outreach activities, events, and presentations in community and parish
- Represent Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego at community events to promote program services, volunteer opportunities, and supportive
- Delivering presentations to schools, parishes, and community
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to support outreach
- Support volunteer engagement processes, including inquiries, recruitment, onboarding, and tracking.
- Maintain accurate records related to volunteer participation and engagement
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for volunteers and
- Ensure volunteers and staff are prepared for events and service
- Schedule appointments for Mobile Unit and office
- Maintain data entry and records in designated
- Provide timely and professional communication with internal and external
- Prepare reports and maintain documentation of outreach activities daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, as needed.
- Perform general clerical and administrative

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree or relevant
- Ability to quickly learn and share Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego services, resources, and programs.
- Ability to do research and obtain information on community resources, health, and social services systems in San Diego and Imperial County.
- Knowledge of volunteer recruitment, training, and retention
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain an important level of
- A flexible, positive and proactive approach to
- Ability to work, plan and organize on own
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and possess the skill to establish working relationships with community partners.
- Knowledge of/familiarity with/sensitivity to the cultural background of populations served by Catholic Charities.
- Ability to conduct oneself in a professional
- Commitment to the mission and values associated with the agency and the program, including, social justice, respect for others, health, and well-being.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred).
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience speaking publicly in diverse forums.
- Microsoft Office experience is required – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout San Diego County and Imperial Valley as needed to support program activities and community engagement.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record in accordance with organizational policies.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid California Driver’s License, current automobile insurance in compliance with agency requirements, and motor vehicle record that is insurable through CCDSD’s auto insurance, required.
- Successful completion of a background check
- CPR or First Aid certification (Desired).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
