Galaxy Vets is expanding to Newfoundland — and we are looking for entrepreneurial veterinarians who want to help build something from the ground up.
Galaxy Vets is an employee-owned veterinary healthcare system created with one mission: to give veterinary medicine back to veterinary professionals. Our Newfoundland hospital will launch as an urgent care and walk-in facility focused on accessible, high-quality medicine, with plans for continued expansion in Phase 2, including advanced diagnostics and specialty-level capabilities such as CT imaging and additional emergency services.
This is more than a DVM position. It is an opportunity to help shape a hospital, influence operations and culture, and grow alongside a rapidly evolving veterinary model.

The Role
As part of the founding clinical team, you will
- Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning
- Manage urgent care and emergency cases in a fast-paced environment
- Perform surgical procedures as needed
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
- Collaborate with leadership to develop workflows and hospital processes
- Contribute to team culture, mentorship, and operational growth
- Help identify opportunities for service expansion and continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for veterinarians who combine strong clinical skills with leadership potential and an ownership mindset.
Ideal candidates are
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) graduates from an accredited university
- Licensed or eligible to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador
- Entrepreneurial and interested in the business side of veterinary medicine
- Excited by leadership, mentorship, and hospital development
- Adaptable, collaborative, and solutions-focused
- Motivated to help build a high-performing and positive workplace culture
- Interested in long-term growth within an evolving organization
