Job Summary:
The Global People Operations Team provides employee experience–focused, responsive, and consistent People services to managers, employees, and business leaders. As the first point of contact for People-related questions, the team supports all employee life-cycle activities, policies, and programs.
As a member of the People Operations Team, you will deliver high-quality operational support, ensure data integrity, and provide seamless employee experience across the organization.

This role is essential to delivering exceptional employee experience, enabling scalable HR processes, and driving operational excellence for Edelman Malysia and Edelman Thailand. The ideal candidate will bring strong HR systems capability, excellent communication skills, and a continuous-improvement mindset—including the ability to identify opportunities for AI-enabled efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
People Support
Onboarding & Offboarding guiding employees through key life & career moments
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, including pre/post-hire logistics, digital file management, eligibility verification, and induction coordination.
- Administer and maintain employee records, contractual data, and employment changes in Workday with a high emphasis on accuracy and compliance.
- Support introductory/probation period management and guide hiring managers through key milestones.
- Support offboarding for voluntary and involuntary exits and prepare offboarding materials, including resignation confirmations and employee communications.
- Coordinate offboarding logistics with IT and payroll vendors, including timely return of equipment.
Supporting employees through seamless payroll and benefits delivery
- Manage the HR-side of the monthly payroll cycle, validating data from Workday and partnering with Finance and payroll vendors for accurate processing.
- Manage holiday and absence tracking via Workday.
- Support benefits administration, ensuring accurate enrollment data and smooth coordination with external providers.
- Provide administrative support for compensation cycles (salary reviews, bonus cycles) using Workday tools and reporting.
- Support onboarding and documentation for vendors and freelancers, including invoice coordination.
- Produce regular and ad hoc People reports and analytics, ensuring actionable insights.
- Support planning and execution of local and regional employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics, communication, and documentation for People programs and cross-functional stakeholder groups.
Delivering operational support to drive process improvements and identify opportunities for AI integration
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, workflow automation, and system enhancements within Workday and other tools.
- Manage full-cycle intern and freelancer hiring, from sourcing through offer management
- Maintain and update HR policies, company regulations, templates, and documentation in line with legal requirements and global standards.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal governance, partnering closely with the local People Partner.
- Monitor and update local and regional portals; respond to queries through ServiceNow for a consistent employee experience.
- Manage operational components of internal transfers, international mobility, and visa-related processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and Legal to maintain alignment and data accuracy.
- Support COEs (Talent Management, L&D, Talent Acquisition) through data, process assistance, and logistics.
- Explore and support the integration of AI tools into HR operations, including workflow automation, chatbot functionality, and smart reporting.
- Maintain SOPs and process documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and continuity across the HR service delivery model.
Partnerships across Teams and Cross-Market People Operations
- Build strong, trusted partnerships with employees, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Represent People Operations in stakeholder discussions related to processes, policies, and systems.
- Partner with local market teams to ensure alignment with regional policies and compliance with country-specific regulations.
- Act as a Workday and HR operations point of contact for assigned APAC markets, ensuring data accuracy and timely execution.
- Respond to regional employee inquiries via ServiceNow, maintaining consistent service standards.
- Contribute to regional operational projects, harmonization efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives across APAC.
- Participate in additional duties and cross-functional projects as required.
Skills & Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience in People Operations or HR Services roles.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end operations across Malaysia and Thailand.
- Proficiency in English and Thai.
- Strong understanding of employment practices, laws, compliance requirements in Malaysia and Thailand.
- Solid payroll knowledge, including salary structures, statutory requirements, and tax regulations; experience managing benefits programs.
- Proven experience with Workday (HCM, recruiting, onboarding, and reporting).
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High discretion when working with confidential information.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across teams.
- Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in MS365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience supporting People Operations across multiple countries is an advantage.
