SUMMARY

Wadhwani AI is seeking a mission-driven, detail-oriented Communications Consultant to help tell our story and strengthen our voice across channels. As part of a small and collaborative communications team, you will contribute to both internal and external communications, support programmatic communication, and ensure our brand and values are reflected consistently in all content.

Wadhwani AI is a nonprofit institute building and deploying applied AI solutions to solve critical issues in public health, agriculture, education, and urban development in underserved communities in the global south. We collaborate with governments, social sector organizations, academic and research institutions, and domain experts to identify real-world problems, and develop practical AI solutions to tackle these issues with the aim of making a substantial positive impact.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation: Write and edit a variety of content including donor communications, blog posts, program updates, website content, social media posts, press releases, and brochures.

Social Media Management: Support the Communication team in maintaining and growing our presence across platforms, including drafting posts, engaging with audiences, and monitoring performance.

Storytelling: Create compelling stories and case studies based on our work across domains that connect with donors and supporters.

Website Updates: Help manage and update website content in collaboration with a third-party agency.

Brand Consistency: Ensure all messaging aligns with the organization's mission, tone, and visual identity.

Media & Public Relations Support: Help organize and coordinate multiple media events at the national and regional level and ensure high-impact media visibility among the targeted stakeholders.

Development Collaboration: Work with the team to craft compelling event materials, including scripts for films, photo stories, and other communication collaterals.

Event Management: Help set up high-impact events and event booths, with required collateral support to build organizational visibility and credibility.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field - or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred

3-5 years of communications experience, preferably in a nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven organization.

Competencies

Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in Hindi & English.

Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills

Adept at event and stakeholder management

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Self-driven and result-oriented

Ability to travel and work in a project or relevant field sites

Proactive, multi-tasker and has the ability to work and deliver under pressure

Ability to work in cross-functional teams

This role is based in Delhi.

It is for a period of 6-7 months i.e. September/October to March 2026.
