Summary: This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional seeking to build foundational expertise in mechanical maintenance within a dynamic manufacturing or industrial environment. The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production machinery and support systems by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and executing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks. With hands-on support from senior technicians and engineers, the incumbent will develop technical proficiency in equipment diagnostics, maintenance best practices, and documentation, contributing directly to operational uptime and safety compliance. This position offers a structured pathway for professional growth and skill development in industrial maintenance. Responsibilities: Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures in production machines, utilities, and support equipment under supervision. Assist in conducting root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment breakdowns and support implementation of corrective actions. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical systems including pumps, conveyors, filling lines, compressors, boilers, valves, and gearboxes. Support the execution of preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) schedules. Use diagnostic tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication charts, and wear monitoring techniques. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and work orders using CMMS or similar systems. Follow safety protocols and participate in safety training and audits.
