Our client is a leading Value-Added Distributor (VAD) dedicated to securing the digital future of Africa. As organizations navigate a complex landscape of data sovereignty laws (such as NDPR and POPIA), they provide the specialized, high-performance tech stack required to protect their most sensitive assets. They are looking for an expert who possesses the rare blend of commercial drive and deep technical fluency to lead our Data Security & Privacy business unit. Job Summary In this role, you are a strategic consultant for the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Privacy Officers. You will be responsible for articulating and personally demonstrating a comprehensive data protection strategy using our premier portfolio—including Fortanix, Mage Data, Securiti.ai, and Seclore. You must be able to bridge the gap between legal compliance and technical enforcement, ensuring that our clients maintain total control over their data lineage and protection, even after files leave the internal network. Key Responsibilities Technical Advisory & Demos: Deliver high-level technical presentations and product demonstrations across the data lifecycle, from Automated Discovery and Masking (Mage/Securiti.ai) to High-Performance Encryption (Fortanix/Keyfactor). CDO & Privacy Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to data leadership, translating complex regulatory requirements into technically sound security blueprints. Sovereignty & Rights Management: Implement and demonstrate granular rights management and "revokable" access solutions (Seclore/FileOrbis) to ensure absolute data sovereignty. Data Intelligence Alignment: Work with engineering and partners to show how advanced data cataloging (OvalEdge) provides the necessary visibility for a robust security posture. Strategic Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed revenue targets by identifying and qualifying high-value opportunities within the African enterprise landscape. Key Requirements: Capability and proven technical "battle stories" over formal degrees. Our client is looking for a seasoned professional who can speak the language of a Database Administrator just as fluently as that of a Privacy Officer. The Technical Seller: You have 5+ years of enterprise sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Data Security, Privacy, or GRC. Demo-Ready Expertise: You are comfortable "opening the hood" to show how discovery, masking, and encryption work in practice, ensuring all messaging is factually accurate. Consultative Mastery: You have a proven track record of managing large enterprise accounts and leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. Adaptable & Driven: You thrive in high-growth startup environments and can independently build a vertical from the ground up.
