Job description

As the Head of People Success & Culture, you are a strategic leader responsible for shaping, evolving, and delivering the People agenda aligned with AshCorp’s business goals in Nigeria and the UK. You will champion a people-first philosophy while balancing operational excellence, talent strategy, compliance, and a culture of high performance and inclusion. You will lead a lean but agile HR team to drive initiatives across: Capability Development Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Performance & Rewards Engagement & Wellbeing Employee Relations HR Operations Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & HR Business Partnering Define and execute a progressive People Success & Culture strategy aligned with business objectives and future scalability Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, supporting organizational transformation and change Partner with department heads to identify people needs, performance gaps, and growth opportunities People Strategy & Organizational Development Lead workforce planning and succession strategies across departments Oversee development of career frameworks, learning pathways, and leadership development programs Drive the execution of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies across all talent practices Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Guide the talent acquisition strategy and workforce planning with a strong emphasis on culture fit and future readiness Strengthen employer brand visibility across Nigeria, the UK, and global talent pools Ensure effective recruitment and onboarding that reinforce positive employee experience Culture, Engagement & Wellbeing Shape a strong organizational culture centered on purpose, performance, and psychological safety Oversee employee engagement surveys (e.g., eNPS), feedback loops, and action planning Lead company-wide wellbeing initiatives that promote holistic employee care Performance & Total Rewards Excellence Oversee performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, and calibration Guide the design and implementation of equitable, market-aligned total rewards and recognition frameworks Drive pay-for-performance strategies and manage compensation review cycles HR Operations & Compliance Ensure HR systems, data, and processes support a digital, agile HR function Drive HR technology adoption, automation, and workforce analytics for insights-based decisions Maintain compliance with Nigerian and UK labor laws, audit requirements, and global HR standards Employee Relations & Policy Governance Lead on complex employee relations issues, investigations, and resolutions with fairness and consistency Ensure policies reflect best practices and are updated to comply with evolving legal standards Build and sustain a respectful, values-aligned work environment Team Leadership Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across the HR team Build external HR partnerships and manage vendor relationships as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or CIPD preferred) 8+ years of progressive HR leadership across multi-country operations Strong grasp of Nigerian and UK labor laws Experience in digital HR transformation, leadership development, and culture building Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking Benefits Join a dynamic and entrepreneurial leadership team within a visionary group holding company Competitive compensation, benefits, and perks such as: Premium Health Insurance Status Allowances Leave Allowance 13th Month Shopping Allowance Performance Bonus Opportunities for professional advancement on a global stage
