Job description
- Reservoir Management & Performance Monitoring • Analyze reservoir performance using geological, petrophysical, and production data to optimize hydrocarbon recovery. • Monitor reservoir pressure, fluid behavior, and production trends to identify anomalies or performance issues. • Recommend reservoir management strategies, including well interventions and production adjustments. 2. Field Development Planning (FDP) & Well Engineering Support • Provide technical input for field development planning, including well placement, drilling, and completion strategies. • Collaborate with geo science, drilling, and production teams to integrate subsurface and surface development plans. • Support well testing, simulation, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) initiatives to maximize field value. 3. Reservoir Model-ling & Simulation • Develop and maintain static and dynamic reservoir models to forecast production and optimize field development. • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to support decision-making and risk management. • Update models regularly based on new production, pressure, and geological data. 4. Reserves Evaluation & Reporting • Perform reserves estimation, classification, and periodic updates in compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines. • Provide technical input for production forecasting, annual budgets, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning. • Prepare and present management reports, technical papers, and presentations on reservoir performance, reserves status, and optimization opportunities. 5. Technical Risk Management & Compliance • Identify, assess, and mitigate subsurface, reservoir, and production risks associated with marginal field operations. • Ensure compliance with internal HSE policies, regulatory requirements, and recognized industry best practices in all reservoir engineering activities. • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions relating to subsurface and reservoir operations. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, Geology, and Geophysics. •Master’s degree in a subsurface-related discipline (Petroleum Engineering, Geo science, or Energy Studies) is highly desirable. •Membership or affiliation with relevant professional bodies (e.g. SPE, NAPE, AAPG, NIG) is an added advantage. Minimum of 7–9 years’ progressive experience in reservoir engineering and subsurface activities within the oil and gas industry, with strong exposure to marginal fields and/or upstream E&P operations.
