About the position: The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking to engage a Consultant (IT) for CIP country and project offices for routine IT support across all offices within India. Key responsibilities: · Provide regular and urgent IT technical support to office users (including staff, consultants and visitors) with hardware and software issues and requests that affect their capacity to use any IT related equipment (e.g. laptops, smartphones, peripherals, printers, projectors, conference devices); coordinating and escalating with suppliers, ITU and local administrative parties as required to deliver the required support. · Provide regular and urgent IT technical support to users for issues and requests related to network and internet performance and availability, coordinate and escalate with suppliers (ISP), ITU and local administrative parties as required to deliver the required support. · Ensure network equipment (switches, routers, wireless access point) software and firmware is up to date by assessing and patching them as required by the criticality of the updates. · Monitor network performance to proactively detect current and potential issues; and manage network access to help prevent security incidents. · All support calls must be logged whether they originated via phone, email, or other channels, recording Open Date, User, Ticket Summary, Close date and ITU ticket # (for information security incidents). · Desirable: The consultant must offer a ticket management system to log and report on support tickets. · Provide conference support. · Assist the Country Asset Administrator to ensure that the IT equipment information and inventory is up-to-date, according to CIP's IT inventory requirements. · Identify obsolete equipment, recommend, and support IT asset decommission by ensuring CIP’s data is purged, according to the standard IT asset disposal procedure of CIP. · Provide yearly computer maintenance consisting of cosmetic and internal cleaning, hardware (test and diagnostics) and operating system cleanup (temporary files, manufacturer tests). · Ensure information security incidents are informed to ITU (cip-helpdesk@cgiar.org) and assist with incident resolution in coordination with ITU. · Support the CIP's information security awareness program (to prevent phishing and other cyberthreats) with quarterly training, new staff training, and follow-up. · Document procedures related to office IT support and operation including network security assessment and patching, network configuration, supplier contacts and escalation, and others as required. Requirements What are we looking for? Educational Qualifications and experience · Bachelor's degree or technical degree in computer, systems, or telecommunication engineering or related field. · 4 years of experience providing computer, network and other IT equipment support to end users, including network equipment patching in a corporate environment. · 4 years of experience in IT asset management including managing computer inventory. · Experience with Microsoft ecosystem including Windows 10 and 11, Office 365, Azure AD and SharePoint Online. · Knowledge about information security frameworks or standards such as NIST-CSF, ISO 27001 or similar related to incident prevention, detection, containment, and recovery. · Information security and IT service management certifications desired · Ability to communicate in written and orally in English for regular business communication. C1 level.
