Job description

Location: Ho Chi Minh City,Ho Chi Minh,Vietnam

Trusting Social is an AI Fintech pioneer that's revolutionizing credit access in emerging markets. Our mission is "Advancing AI to Meet the Financial Needs of Everyday Consumers with Empathy." We've assessed over 1 billion consumers across four countries, and we're on a mission to provide 100 million credit lines using the power of AI and Big Data.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain driver-based financial models linking commercial KPIs and operational data to financial outcomes with high forecasting accuracy.
  • Own end-to-end financial projection models covering operational data, commercial data, revenue, cost, and cash flow projections that can withstand scrutiny from management, investors, and lenders.
  • Build independent business cases for new product launches, partnerships, market entries, and strategic investments across all markets.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for Group consolidation.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly Group close process to ensure management accounts are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
  • Prepare management reporting materials, board-deck inputs, and investor updates under the direction of the Group Finance Director and CEO.
  • Use AI and automation tools to reduce manual reporting work where appropriate, while preserving accounting accuracy, auditability, access control, source traceability, and human review for judgment-based areas.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of total relevant experience across strategic finance, FP&A, group finance, management reporting, audit, controllership, investment banking, management consulting, or Big 4 advisory.
  • Strong understanding of accounting close, audit support, statutory-to-management reporting bridges, and multi-entity finance operations. This role is not pure FP&A.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or geographies, with comfort in cross-border financial analysis, multi-currency planning, intercompany flows, and transfer-pricing-related considerations.
  • Strong financial modeling skills in Excel / Google Sheets, with ability to build models from scratch and improve reporting workflows through AI.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including C-level, founder-level, board-level, and external counterparties. Must be comfortable pushing back constructively and communicating complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Excellent written and spoken English - the role involves daily interaction with US stakeholders and regular interaction with cross-border teams.
  • Ability and commitment to overlap with US business hours 1-2 days per week.
  • AI-operator mindset: able to run AI-assisted workflows with quality checks, source validation, cost awareness, and continuous improvement.
  • Bias for action: able to experiment proactively, improve existing workflows, and produce real results without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Growth mindset and self-improvement: able to learn independently, upgrade personal workflows, and adapt quickly during probation and beyond.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Prior exposure to US market financials or US-headquartered companies.
  • Fintech, lending, collections, or credit services industry experience.
  • Experience in a VC-backed environment, including fundraising support, investor requests, or data-room preparation.
  • Experience building pricing models, portfolio economics models, unit economics models, recovery models, or cash collection models.
  • Experience with Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, NotebookLM, Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Python, or other finance automation tools.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary benchmarked at upper-market range, including guaranteed 13th month salary and variable performance bonus.
  • Enterprise-grade AI tooling (Claude & Gemini) provided to every team member - we invest in tools that eliminate busywork so you can focus on analysis and judgment.
  • Direct exposure to the CEO in a high-visibility, high-impact role.
  • Opportunity to help build a centralized, AI-enabled finance function from Vietnam for a multi-market business.
  • A role with real influence on business decisions, capital allocation, and management insight - not just reporting production.
  • Comprehensive health care for you and your dependents.
  • Generous leave policies and flexible work hours.
  • Convenient District 1 office location (next to a metro station).
  • Onsite lunch with multiple options.
  • Grab for work allowance and fully equipped workstations.
  • Fun team-building activities, sponsored sports clubs, and Thursday happy hours.
  • Unlimited free coffee, tea, snacks, and fruit.
  • A chance to make a profound social impact by democratizing credit access in emerging markets.
