Job description

Job Purpose: The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. The role works closely with finance, operations, and business teams to ensure that financial data is reliable, reconciled, and aligned with the organisation’s growth strategy. Key Responsibilities: Financial Accounting & Reporting Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and process monthly depreciation. Record and account for all direct and indirect expenses including loan disbursement charges, interest payable on deposits, and operational expenses. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Ensure accurate financial record keeping and general ledger management. Reconciliation & Financial Controls Perform monthly bank reconciliations across all accounts. Conduct intercompany reconciliations and resolve outstanding balances. Manage group cost bookings including interest and shared expenses. Loans & Deposits Reporting Prepare monthly reports on loans and deposits. Produce weekly reports covering deposits, loans, intercompany balances, interbank payables/receivables, and cash positions. Payroll & Financial Compliance Perform payroll accounting and reconciliation. Support statutory and regulatory financial reporting. Prepare and submit regulatory reports to relevant authorities. Business Support Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. Support budgeting and financial forecasting processes. Other Duties Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by management. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional certification (ACCA, ACA, CPA) Minimum 4–6 years of relevant accounting or finance experience Experience in banking, microfinance, or financial services is an advantage Strong knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliations Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
