Web Developer

The Web Developer builds and maintains websites and web applications for The Portal Agency and client projects. This role collaborates with UI/UX, designers, and project managers to implement high-quality, performant, and scalable solutions. Success means clean code, accurate implementation from designs, strong performance and SEO readiness, reliable deployments, and low bug rates. Key Responsibilities Development & Implementation Build responsive websites and landing pages based on UI/UX designs (pixel-accurate implementation). Develop and maintain web applications when required (dashboards, portals, internal tools). Integrate APIs and third-party services (payments, CRM, analytics, email). Implement CMS solutions when needed (WordPress/Webflow/Headless CMS). Performance, SEO & Quality Ensure fast load speed and Core Web Vitals best practices (performance optimization). Implement technical SEO best practices: metadata, structured data, clean URLs, sitemaps, robots, canonical tags. Maintain code quality: reusable components, testing basics, and clear documentation. Fix bugs, handle cross-browser issues, and ensure consistent behavior across devices. Collaboration & Workflow Collaborate with UI/UX and designers to refine feasibility and handoff requirements. Work with PM/Account for scope, timeline, and delivery coordination. Coordinate with SEO/Performance teams for tracking, pixels, events, and conversion setup. Provide clear estimates and raise risks early when requirements change. Deployment & Maintenance Deploy projects to staging/production and manage releases safely (version control). Monitor and maintain websites (updates, security patches, backups as required). Document setup and handoff notes for internal teams and clients. Requirements 3+ years web development experience (agency or product experience preferred). Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and at least one modern framework (React/Next.js preferred). Good understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization. Experience integrating APIs and implementing tracking (GA4, GTM, pixels). Git proficiency and clean collaboration practices. Arabic/English communication for requirements and team coordination.
